Class Information and Dress Codes

Company classes:

Jazz - solid color leotard, jazz pants, jazz top, dance top (fitted), company t-shirt/shorts

Tap/Riverdance - solid color leotard, skirt, dance shorts, dance top (fitted), company t-shirt/shorts

Ballet/Tap combo class

Any color leotard and tights. Skirts are optional. (socks may be worn OVER tights)

Ballet/Tap/Jazz combo class

Any color leotard and tights. Skirts are optional. (socks may be worn OVER tights). Jazz pants for jazz but they must be able to be removed for ballet and tap.

Ballet

Any color leotard and tights. Skirts are optional. No pants or shorts.

Advanced Ballet/Pointe

Black leotard and pink tights. Skirts are optional. No pants or shorts.

Jazz

Any color leotard, skirt, jazz pants, jazz capris, dance shorts (no soffee style)

dance top (fitted).

Tap/Clogging/Riverdance

Any color leotard, skirt, jazz capris dance shorts (no soffee style) dance top (fitted). No pants.

Hip Hop

Dance or jogging pants, shorts, t-shirts

Gymnastics

Any color leotard - shorts may be worn over leotard

Cheer

Shorts and t-shirt. Cheer shoes (must not be worn outside)

Competitive Cheer and Gymnastics

Team practice uniforms

Shoes must be purchsed from Stars Pro Shop unless you cna find the specific ones we use that are made by Revolution Dancewear.l We will order 3 times during the year.

Class Placement

1. Students are placed in classes based on teacher evaluations and recommendation. Prior students are placed according to last year's evaluation. We attempt to place students according to age but those students that have different ability levels will be moved to the correct class. Evaluations are based on performance, which includes their ability, attitude, motivation, and attendance.

2. Students desiring to participate in competition will be placed using the same guidelines.

3. New students will be placed according to age and previous dance experience but may be moved to a class that is their level if deemed necessary by the teacher.
